please, just give me what i asked for .....

it was an outdoor event, a happy celebration. Guests were invited, food prepared, cake and balloons to be picked up... it had to come together, soon. but the sky was restless, cloudy, and ready to storm -- besides that -- it felt like a sauna...sticky and humid. my glasses fogged up completely every time i walked outside.

...there was tension in the air as well, thick like a fog. What would we do if it started raining on the party? what???

Lord, please don't let it rain until AFTER the party -- at least hold it off a couple hours, please? You know how important this is! so much time and effort has gone into it :0/

T minus 1 hour before the guests arrive. Should we start putting out the .... Crash, Boom, Crackle! what a down pour! buckets of rain, big fat drops, coming down by the bucket!!

hmmmm, well there you have it! We are already sweaty and stinky -- what can it hurt? Let's go!! what? yes! let's go out there in it! come on! let's go -- now!

HA, i will if you will? okay -- too late i'm already running in the yard, soaking wet before i hardly get out the door :0)

awwww now that is more like it, cooling off, rinsing off, rolling down the sloped yard in the wet grass! more! more! rain! faces smiling, laughing! laughing so hard we fall down :0) HA, faces turned to the sky...is that all you got?

We prayed for the rain to be held back -- but now everything dripped with a good hard cool cleansing rain... tensions were eased, no harm done to the party! The rain ceased, and all was well.

It came at exactly the right time, the rain. The refreshing, washing of the water...

oh God, thank you for not giving me what i asked for, but what You knew i needed.

go figure....

How is that some folks have little or no filter as to what comes out of their "mouths" (whether it be blogging, FB-ing, Tweeting, etc.) They feel free to throw out whatever they want to -- but heaven forbid that someone else should say what's on their mind :0) no ill will intended and no accusations implied but because they took exception they correct you -- "some things should be communicated privately"
